Please read this text, eventhough it's a bit long...
I've just seen a documentary that chocked me completely.
The Cove is a documentary about the meeningless slaughtering of dolphins in Japan. A croup of american divers/marinebioligists/chemists etc. goes (under-cover) to Japan to reveal the barbarian behaviour of these dolphin hunters. They kill hundreds of dolphins a day, starting every year in september.
They don't do this because they are poor, they don't do this because of fine meat or high profit gain. They do it because of corruption.
The meat of the dolphins are toxic to human, because of the high content of mercury. The hunters sell the meat to the Japanese government, who gives it to the schools, to the children who are obligated (yes, by law) to eat the (poisonous) lunch.
The group of american rebels risk their freedom in the chase of these shootings of the massacres, because the corrupt japanese police are right behind them, along with the illegal fish-hunters. The japanese network of corrupt civil servers are enormous and the japanese people don't even know what's happening with the animals OR their children.
This documentary has increased the attention to this matter in many, many countries after its release - but not as much in Japan where it is forbidden to show the documentary.

Encouraged by these horrible facts, I've decided to try to help as good as I can. I joined WSPA and WWF, and I aplore you to do the same. Or at least think about how human behavior affects this planet, its fauna and flora. And our morals.
